This is a guide to set up POP3/IMAP email – Huawei devices.

Before you start

Make sure you have the following information:

1. Your email address

2. Password

3. Username

Important: Internet must be set up before you start this guide.

Select Email

Select Other

Enter your Email address and Password. Select SIGN IN

These will be provided to you by your hosting company. Username is usually your email address, e.g info@address.co.za

Select POP3/IMAP

Pop3 if you will not use the email on another device. We suggest IMAP

Enter Username and Incoming server address. Select NEXT

Username is your email address.

Server address will be provided by your hosting company. Usually: mail.domainname.co.za

Enter Outgoing server address

Server Address will be provided by your hosting company. Usually the same as incoming

Uncheck the Require sign-in checkbox and select NEXT

Select NEXT

Your account is ready to use

Side Note: The general incoming server port is 995 and for outgoing server 587.
